FDN is a therapeutic procedure which utilizes a solid filament needle to decrease myofascial tension, decrease pain, and improve tissue flexibility. Electrical stimulation may also be utilized to facilitate desired muscle activity. FDN is commonly used to treat a variety of conditions including chronic pain as well as sports and work-related injuries. Dry needling is a safe and effective treatment for chronic pain of neuropathic origin with very few side effects.
